What is Domain?
Domain is the company and the platform. It hosts your account, your memory, your channel connections, your profile, and Doma. Domain is the product you use and Doma is the agent you talk to.
Domain is the company and the platform. It hosts your account, your memory, your channel connections, your profile, and Doma. Domain is the product you use and Doma is the agent you talk to.
Doma is the AI you add to your conversations. Text it, add it to a group chat, forward it an email, and/or connect it to ChatGPT or Claude. Doma takes notes, remembers what was said, and helps you work through what's next, inside the conversations you already have.
Yes. You can download its vcard. Now you have all of Doma’s contact information so you can reach out right now. You do not need to sign up to talk with Doma. Ask it any question you have and it will walk you through how it works in general and what it can do for you specifically.
Domain is the product. Doma is the agent. You sign up for Domain. You talk to Doma. Think of it as the relationship between an AI platform and the assistant you talk to.
In a group chat, Doma takes notes, answers questions about what was said, sets reminders, catches latecomers up, and keeps the group aligned on what was decided. In your DM, Doma acts as your private thinking space. You can ask about anything from any group chat Doma was in, pressure-test an idea, draft a hard message, workshop an email, or ask what you missed. Doma also drafts and edits Google Docs and Sheets from inside a chat, forwards email context into conversations, and can push work from ChatGPT or Claude into the channels where your team lives.
ChatGPT and Claude are single-player. You talk to them alone, in their app, and the context stays there. Doma is multi-player. You add it to the group chats and email threads where the people you actually work with already are. It participates alongside your team, not off to the side.
Those tools capture what happened after a meeting ends. They make a transcript and a summary, then disappear. Doma is in the conversation while it's happening, answering questions, setting reminders, catching people up, and pushing back when asked. Doma also remembers across every conversation you add it to, not just one meeting at a time.
No. Doma works inside the messaging apps you already use: iMessage, SMS, Signal, Telegram, Slack, and email. Add its phone number to a chat, or forward it an email. No download, no separate app.
Doma is a model-agnostic AI agent. It uses language models to participate in conversations, remember relevant context, follow rules, and take actions. The underlying model can change without changing Doma’s core experience.
Yes. Short sentences, plain language, no corporate filler, no emoji. Doma is designed to earn the respect of the group instead of performing for it. If you want Doma to sound different in a specific chat or DM, tell it, and it will adjust. You can ask Doma to temporarily adopt a new persona if it will fit the group chat. You can ask Doma to act like a skeptic or a positive supporter. When the session ends, Doma will revert to its default persona.
No. Doma is an AI and says so if asked. It doesn't pretend to feel things it doesn't feel, and it doesn't fake being human. The point is to be genuinely useful, not to trick anyone.
Yes. Doma is designed to offer honest feedback. It won't just agree with whoever spoke last. Additionally, you can ask Doma to enhance this behavior by playing devil's advocate in a group chat or you can set a group rule that says Doma should challenge weak arguments.
Core personality is consistent. But every group can shape how Doma behaves in that room, and every user can set personal rules for their DM. Doma adapts to the context it's in, and remembers what you and your groups care about.
Yes. Doma has consistent baseline behavior. Each group can add its own rules—sometimes called a session constitution—for how Doma should behave in that conversation. You can also set personal rules for your private conversations with Doma.
Yes. Doma remembers what you said, what you decided, and what matters to you across every conversation Doma is part of. Your DM with Doma is your private thinking space, and Doma can pull from any group chat you added it to.
No. In a group chat, Doma reads the room and only speaks when it has something useful to add. If you want to reduce its responsiveness even further from the default, you can ask it to be totally silent. Even when silent, Doma will take notes and make its memory of the conversation available to you and everyone else in the group.
Yes. Add a rule to that group chat: "Doma, stay quiet unless mentioned." Doma will only speak when someone tags it or asks it directly. Every group can set its own rules, and Doma follows them in that chat only.
You can always tell Doma to stop talking for as long as you want. It will still be taking notes you can process in a DM afterwards. And, like Doma with you and your group, you are absolutely free to push back against it when it makes mistakes.
Yes. Tell Doma how you want it to behave in your DM. Pushback style, tone, formatting, whatever matters to you. Those rules stay in your DM.
Doma follows the strictest one. Stricter privacy or safety rules always win over more permissive ones.
When they say hi, Doma catches them up with a short recap of what's been decided and what's still open. Based only on what happened while Doma was in the chat. Additionally, that person will receive a DM from Doma to talk about the chat or anything else they want to discuss.
Remove Doma's number from the chat the same way you'd remove anyone else. Doma exits and stops participating.
Yes. Doma reads the whole conversation so it can hold context for the group. It just doesn't reply to every message.
Doma remembers conversations it participates in, so the people in those conversations can ask about past decisions, open questions, and shared context. People who were not part of a conversation cannot access its context through Doma.
Doma keeps conversation history and memory available only to the people who participated in that conversation. People outside it cannot access that context through Doma.
No. Doma does not make your conversation context available to other customers. It is available only to people who are allowed to access it.
Yes. Doma becomes more useful as it builds relevant context from conversations it is part of, including decisions, priorities, and preferences. It continues to respect who is allowed to access that context.
Doma may improve as we update the technology behind it. Your existing memory, rules, and profile remain available. We’ll communicate any material changes that affect how Doma behaves.
No. Doma is proprietary software.
SMS/MMS, iMessage, Signal, Telegram, Slack, and email. ChatGPT and Claude via MCP. Zoom is in the pipeline.
Connecting a channel links a messaging app to your Domain account so Doma can work with you there. Once connected, Doma has memory and context on that channel that it can share with you across your other connected channels. This means that you can text with Doma about a group chat you have in Slack. Or you can email Doma and then talk about it in a DM text thread. It is the secret super-power of Domain.
Doma can carry context across both. Forward an email to Doma, then chat about it over text where replies come faster. Talk on Signal, then work through it in ChatGPT. Your memory travels with you.
Follow the MCP setup guide at doma-mcp.ondomain.dev. Takes about 5 minutes.
Doma brings your Domain memory into the tool. Ask about a group chat, pull context from an email thread, or draft something with the full history in play.
Yes, you can install the Doma app in your workspace and add Doma to the specific channels you want. Please contact our enterprise team at hello@ondomain.ai for specific onboarding instructions.
Yes. Forward any email to doma@ondomain.ai. Doma will read it, along with any attachments and replies in a thread, and save it to your own memory. This means you can DM Doma in a text about the email thread. Many users who work in business development forward new leads to Doma and then workshop a reply in their text. This prevents them from generating quick but sloppy responses because Doma leverages the memory of their other past replies.
Yes. CC doma@ondomain.ai and Doma joins the thread. This feature allows you to share memory and context from an email thread to a group discussion. Many users forward important emails to Doma and all the other members of their Slack channel. No more copy/pasting emails from one channel into another.
No. Email is per-message. Doma only sees the specific emails you forward or CC it on.
No, we only support MMS, Signal, Telegram, Slack and email today, but we are adding new channels all the time, including Zoom. Look out for live product updates from Doma or by subscribing to our Substack.
Sometimes Doma will send this error message. It can be triggered by a series of outages that occasionally happen. If you experience extended downtime, you can switch your communication channel to reach Doma there. For example, if your DMs over text are not responsive, you can send Doma an email to check in. If you experience a prolonged outage, contact us at hello@ondomain.ai and we will follow up.
Yes. DM Doma and ask, or manage your connections on the web at ondomain.ai/app/channels.
Go here: https://ondomain.ai/login and verify your email and phone number. That’s it. It takes 30 seconds.
You verify your phone number or email with a one-time code. Doma confirms your identity so it can keep your conversations private and give you access to your memory across channels. No password, no separate login for every group chat.
Go here: https://ondomain.ai/app - login with your email address. This is where you can manually update account settings, connected channels, and learn more skills about how to work with Doma.
No. You can text with Doma right now. Authentication unlocks memory across channels, profile management, and private DM access to context from group chats you're in.
No. Anyone in the chat can talk to Doma. Doma will DM each new person in your group chat to talk to them about setting up their own account. Their decision to authenticate will not affect Doma’s behavior in your group.
Doma introduces itself briefly, then will monitor/manage the group chat. It only speaks when it has something useful to add. You can ask it questions, set reminders, or work through a decision with the group. Anyone in the group can prompt it in the chat. Everyone in the group will receive DMs from Doma that will explain how it works and how it can help them work through any questions they have about that group chat (and also offer them assistance in any other project they want to talk about).
Your DM is your private thinking space. You can reference anything from any group chat Doma was in, pressure-test an idea, draft a hard message, workshop an email, or ask what you missed. You can ask it to remind you what your group decided in a meeting last week. You can even ask Doma to relay a message to the group chat or to any specific person in the group. Just ask Doma “please tell the group chat I will have the updated draft ready by 5pm,” and everyone in the group will get the message. The DM tool is incredibly powerful.
Go to your account settings at https://ondomain.ai/app and update your phone number. You can also DM Doma any request like this and it will walk you through the steps.
DM Doma and ask to add another. Doma will verify the new number or address and link it to your account.
Your profile is what makes Doma useful. It's how Doma remembers who you are, what you care about, what you're working on, and how you like to work. It's yours. You can see everything on it and edit or delete anything at any time. Looking at your profile gives you a sense of how Doma is interpreting your work so far.
Go to https://ondomain.ai/app and edit it directly, or DM Doma and ask it to update a specific field.
Just what you've shared or authenticated: name, contact channels, location, and anything you've added. You control what's in it.
You do not need to update any account settings to access Doma on other devices. Once your account is set up, you can use Doma from any device that is connected to a channel you've linked. In other words, if you get a new phone but retain your contacts and phone number, Doma is still there.
You don't need to. If you want to unlink a channel simply remove Doma from the group chat.
Go to your account settings at https://ondomain.ai/app and delete your account. The moment you delete your account, Doma loses all memory of you and your work. This means that any group chat you still have open will now feature a version of Doma that has no memory of you or your work. Simply remove Doma’s number/name from your group chat and continue your chat without it.
It's permanently deleted. Doma no longer has any record of you or your conversations. The next time you talk with Doma you will have to reintroduce yourself and start new memories in different work.
DM Doma first. It handles most account questions directly. You can ask Doma to teach you how to use features you know about or to tell you about features you don’t know about. For example, if you want to know how to start a Google Doc with Doma, ask Doma “can you create a Google doc for me and my group” and it will do it for you.
If you are experiencing a problem that Doma cannot help you with, email hello@ondomain.ai.

Founders and executives running on relationships, producers and creative directors coordinating across many partners, chiefs of staff running multiple threads for one principal, and small teams (3–5 people is the sweet spot) that do most of their work in group chats.
People use Doma for two different kinds of pitches. When a business is pitching new business to a prospect, Doma works with the new business team to distill the RFP into a clear brief that is then referenced every time the team shares new drafts/thinking into the group. Doma also organizes and references all of the feedback that is shared in the chat so that it is not lost as the process unfolds. Finally, Doma is a time manager who can keep track of progress and remind everyone to hit deadlines.
The second kind of pitch is when Doma itself helps one group pitch new work to another group. In this kind of pitch, Doma leverages its memory of the person pitching work to help the prospect make a decision. Doma will answer questions, provide examples, and manage the conversation between both sides until they are all aligned.
Doma is great in brainstorm sessions. While everyone on the team pitches new concepts in the chat, Doma will capture and track ideas, organize them in categories, and score them across any sets of criteria the group wants to use. It also mediates disagreements really well. It makes it easier for people to give and receive hard feedback and to celebrate great ideas.
In your group chat, you can ask Doma to generate a Google Doc or Sheet that contains key information your group decided in the chat. Everyone in the group and Doma will have edit access to the doc. This means that anyone can either manually update the doc or they can ask Doma to make changes.
If you get an important (but confusing) email from a prospective client or vendor, forward it to Doma (doma@ondomain.ai) and start texting about it in your DM. All of the attachments and other information in the email (or email thread) is now visible to Doma. You can add multiple people to the forward so the same info is available for discussion in your group chat.
Many companies are using Doma to help them process new business leads from their inbox straight to their Slack channels using this technique.
Co-founders in a startup selected a lawyer with Doma’s help. Doma helped draft questions, respond to answers, and helped the cofounders align on the right fit.
Multiple executives used Doma to collaborate on book projects, bridging editors with publishers and authors in multiple group chats.
A family used Doma to coordinate an international trip, helping everyone align on destinations, restaurants, and the itinerary. This was the most successful trip they’ve ever planned.
A wedding is being planned on Domain. The bride and groom are in multiple group chats with the caterer, planner, and venue, and everything is going smoothly.
A house is being built on Domain. Doma is connecting the home owners with the architect, the contractor, and the sub-contractors, all in a single project with everyone aligned.
What happens in one conversation stays there. Doma doesn't share memories or context with anyone who wasn't in the group chat. You can DM Doma about a group chat, but you can't share that context with anyone who wasn't in the room.
Tell Doma to forget it. You can forget a message, a topic, or a whole thread. Forget is a command, not a request.
Yes. Doma encrypts data in transit and at rest.
Doma stores data with trusted cloud infrastructure providers in the United States. Contact hello@ondomain.ai if your organization has specific data-residency requirements.
No. Doma does not use your conversations to train shared AI models.
No. Your data isn't the product.
No. Anything you create with Doma is yours. Domain doesn't claim ownership of your conversations, documents, or work product.
No. Context flows only between the people who were in a conversation. A group chat cannot pull from a DM. A DM cannot pull from a group the DM participant wasn't in.
No. Your DM is your private thinking space. You can pull context from group chats into it, but no one else in those groups can see what you say to Doma.
Doma keeps the memory of what happened while it was in the chat. Anyone who was in that chat can still ask Doma about it in a DM. If you want Doma to forget, tell it to forget.
Domain complies with lawful requests. We're built to minimize what we hold and to keep private context private, but no company can promise blanket immunity from legal process.
We can't prevent that any more than a group chat can prevent a screenshot. Doma follows the privacy rules of the room it's in. What happens outside the room is up to the people in it.
Domain personnel do not routinely read your conversations. Limited authorized access may occur when necessary to operate, secure, or support the service, subject to controlled access procedures.
Not yet. Enterprise-grade compliance is on the roadmap. If your organization needs a specific framework, tell us.
Doma limits access to conversation context based on who participated. Group context can be available to its members in their private conversations with Doma, but it is not available to people who were not part of the group. Group rules can shape how Doma behaves, but they do not replace these access controls.
